On the after of September 28,Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Zhuhai Municipal Government held the Summarization Meeting for Disaster Relief in Zhuhai at Zhuhai Great Hall of the People.Guo Yuanqiang,the Director of the Standing Committee of People’s Congress and Zhuhai Municipal Party Secretary,attended the meeting and made a speech;Yao Yisheng,Deputy Municipal Party Secretary and Acting Mayor of Zhuhai,host the meeting;Chen Honghui,Chairman of Zhuhai Municipal Committee of CPPCC,and Chen Ying,Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Municipal People’s Congress of Zhuhai,attended the meeting.

On August 23,the No.1713 Severe Typhoon Hato stroke Zhuhai with the maximum winds of level 14 when landing and a gust of level 17,resulting in the cut-off of water supply and power supply in a large area,seriously damaged roads,bridges and public facilities,and the tremendous suffering of people in Zhuhai.
After the disaster occurred,the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government paid high attention to Zhuhai.People from all circles of Zhuhai and surrounding cities joined together to form a great force for the disaster relief and reconstruction.Many warmhearted people and enterprises donated money,materials or labor to participate in the course of post-disaster relief and reconstruction.Their kind deeds passed on a full load of positive energy to the society.
Zhuhai Great Aim Group Co.,Ltd.(Great Aim)donated 10 million RMB to Zhuhai Red Cross for traffic recovery the second day after Severe Typhoon Hato landed on Zhuhai.Till today,all traffic routes in Zhuhai have been restored.Yang Feng,Chairman of Great Aim,said that the success was achieved under the leadership of Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Zhuhai Municipal Government and the joint efforts of all people in Zhuhai.He believed that the reconstructed Zhuhai will be more romantic and beautiful.
As reported,in this meeting,the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Zhuhai Municipal Government gave commendation to 102 advanced organizations and 215 individuals that contributed a lot to disaster relief work;they also gave special thinks to the 108 organizations that provided support to the relief and reconstruction work.The Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Zhuhai Municipal Government hoped that the awarded organizations and individuals would cherish the honor,make new contribution to the relief and reconstruction work,and set an exemplary role for the society.
