To further exchange experience on intellectual property operation, innovate the operation mode of intellectual property, gather intellectual property elements, enhance the intellectual property level of enterprises and capabilities of intellectual property operators, in the 10th China Patent Week, "Fengtai Power-nation Intellectual Property Summit Forum" was held in Beijing on November 23. The forum was attended by Ma Weiye, vice president and secretary general of China Patent Protection Association, Wang Shuxian, inspector of Beijing Intellectual Property Office, and more than 200 representatives of famous enterprises such as 360, Intel, Ericsson, Xiaomi, Siemens, China Mobile and Beiqi Foton.
The summit was hosted by departments such as the Intellectual Property Office of Fengtai District, Beijing and co-organized by Beijing Power-Nation Institute and patent extraction platform. The summit was themed as "Exploring New Models and New Business of Intellectual Property Operation". Around 20 experts from enterprises, research institutes and institutes of higher learning made a deep discussion and exchange on three areas, "intellectual property strategy of enterprises, intellectual property operation, intellectual property finance".
Related person in charge of the summit expressed, the forum was a measure for Fengtai district to "promote patent operation, boost patents to strengthen enterprises" and achieve characteristic development of intellectual property work. The summit focused on the demands of enterprises for intellectual property management and services, made efforts to gather various intellectual property service resources, constructed an eco-system of intellectual property operation services and indeed solved actual intellectual property issues of enterprises, institutes of higher learning and research institutes through discussion and exchange and mutual learning.
It was learned that the organizer of the summit, "patent extraction platform" was invested and constructed by CIP Investment Co., Ltd. The summit highlighted three main lines, namely, "information", "finance" and "internationalization". Information construction aims to build a "big data information center", activate the idle patents of institutions such as high-end colleges and universities and scientific research institutes. It has constructed an online service platform, imported 8,000 invention patents from colleges and universities such as Beijing University of Technology, served 37 innovating and pioneering enterprises, extracted around 100 invention patents and introduced around 600 financing projects in the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of University Students across China". Relying on big data technology, it has embedded around 20 patent analysis indicators such as "patent industrialization index" to provide enterprises and public institutions with patent analysis services. In financial construction, channels to go public at home and abroad have been opened such as Direct Connect to Four Boards, NEEQ, Hong Kong, Australia, NASDAQ of the US. Meanwhile, it has set up an Angel investment of 10 million Yuan and a patent incubation fund of 130 million Yuan. A significant industrialization project of radioactive material detection was introduced, which has finished Round A financing. In the process of internationalization, the platform has set up cooperative relationships with intellectual property organizations of Europe, Korea, the US and the world. It has organized match-making activities with clean energy enterprises of Finland and enhanced the platform's international service level of intellectual property. Up to date, it has held 4 lectures on intellectual property to publicize related knowledge of intellectual property to the entrepreneurs, and held 21 entrepreneurship salons and trained 437 people in total.
