On June 28, self-developed by The Great Aim Optical Communication Technology Ltd and possessing tens of international and domestic patents, a commercial operation APP-‘easy shopping’ adopting a U-beacon system based on the white-light LED indoor positioning technology has put into trial operation and entered a private beta phase in Changzhou city, Jiangsu Province, and achieves both commercial operation and the 3D indoor real map light positioning technology firstly in the world. What is U-beacon?
The U-beacon system is based on the white-light LED indoor positioning technology, LED positioning is achieved through LED lamps on a ceiling, a camera of a smart phone of a user is used for receiving a light source and detecting, and the user can receive direct light source signals, which are fed back, without directing the phone camera at a specific direction. The white-light LED indoor positioning technology is implemented according to the principle that information to be transmitted is encoded into a modulation signal, and the modulation signal is added to drive current of the LED lamps by means of pulse-width modulation, so that the LED lamps flicker with an extremely high frequency harmless to human eyes. The high-frequency flicker cannot be seen by the human eyes but can be detected and restored to the information to be transmitted by photosensitive elements.

The U-beacon system developed based on the white-light LED technology is adopted by e-shopping. By scanning light signals, users can view shops, commodity information and comments of other customers who consumed in the shops. After the e-shopping APP is installed, the users can query information, switch floor plans easily and enjoy various convenient services of precision indoor positioning, real map, navigation, searching, public information query and the like only with smart phones or tablet computers.
